Our Model
With several course offerings and a flexible implementation model, VoyagerU fits district and school professional development plans. Through a combination of self-study, collaboration, and classroom application, participants increase their knowledge base and become more effective instructional leaders.
Self-Study and Assessment Each participant receives an individual login and password to access an online learning environment — accessible 24/7, from any computer with Internet access.
Participants interact and learn as they read content-specific passages, view teacher-modeling videos, download lesson materials, reflect on classroom application activities, and view course progress.
Collaboration As in any profession, educators learn from collaboration with peers. VoyagerU provides online, as well as face-to-face opportunities for participants to discuss experiences and learn from each other.
Classroom Application Research says people learn best by doing. In each VoyagerU course, participants apply newly learned ideas and strategies by completing a predetermined number of classroom-based activities with peer support.
